Knees Illegal Kicks OK in Thai Fights?

I heard that you’re supposed to be able to see kicks coming and defend against them, but knees are harder to predict which is why they are illegal. Imagine rolling around on the mat holding your balls while your opponent gets the win.

I think it’s because a hard kick to the nuts will cause terrible pain, but a hard knee will crush the testicles AND the pelvis.
We probably want to skip the part of breaking bones and just leave the impact in the nuts.
